- 2 lb. ground beef, lean
- 1 lb. bacon
- 2 cans lima or butter beans, undrained
- 1 large (or 2 small) cans pork & beans, undrained
- 1 large (or 2 small) cans kidney beans, undrained
- 1 large onion, chopped
- ½ tsp. dry mustard
- ½ c. ketchup
- 1 c. brown sugar
- ½ c. red wine vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 can chopped Ortega or jalapeno chiles, undrained (optional)
Brown ground beef and drain fat. Sauté onion for 3-4 minutes in small amount of olive oil. Add garlic and sauté one minute. Fry bacon and crumble.
Combine all ingredients and bake at 350 for 1 hour or slow cook on low for 4 hours in crockpot.
