Recipe by: Mary Catherine Zona

“Recipe from my grandmother, Mary Bray Murray.”

• 4 Cups Flour
• 1 Cup Sugar
• 4 Tbs. Baking Powder
• 1/2 Tsp. Salt
• 1/2 Box Raisins
• 2 Tbs. Caraway Seeds
• 2 Eggs
• 1/4 lb. Butter melted
• 2 Cups Buttermilk

Mix the dry indegredients first, then add the others.
Spray a 10 inch round pan or cast iron skillet with non-stick cooking spray.
Add mixture.
Traditionally, a cross is made in the top of the bread.
Bake at 375 for 1 hour. Test at 50 minutes.

Note: I do not use caraway seeds because I do not like them.
